The Gold Nugget Museum mission statement emphasizes stewardship and our historic artifacts have always been the core of the museum.
our online collection
The Gold Nugget Museum collection contains a wealth of historical artifacts, including photographs, objects, texts, and archival materials such as maps and letters, that document American history here on the Paradise Ridge and in surrounding Butte County. This online archive offers reflections of the past and collections of the present, making for a fun and educational place to visit and discover.

We are currently in the process of re-building our museum archive collection, having lost 98% of our objects to the Camp Fire of 2018. Acquisition and cataloging is an ongoing and long-term project; a privilege that the museum honors for the benefit of all Ridge residents.

Our archive collection is available online for public viewing and as a resource for research purposes. The objects presented online do not represent our entire collection, as some items have not yet been cataloged and others are not available for viewing due to copyright restrictions.
