The Depot museum

Located in picturesque Paradise Community Park, the Depot Museum provides visitors the opportunity to explore and reflect on the development of the Butte County Railroad, its shared function with the Diamond Match Company, and the intriguing lifestyles of the colorful characters who have called this region home. A special place to visit for everyone from train connoisseurs to history buffs to curious kids - the Depot Museum features an incredible model train set, an actual caboose that used to ride the local railways, and so much more.

You can also walk the beautifully paved Yellowstone Kelly Trail and view over thirty placards depicting the rich history of the Paradise Ridge and its many pioneers, and get an up-close look at the inspiring "Our Future is Bright" handprint mural, installed in 2024 by the Rebuild Paradise Foundation.

To visit the Depot Museum, come by during the weekly Party in the Park event on Wednesday evenings, or contact us to schedule a tour!
